Good morning. This weekend is stacked with free stuff worth leaving the apartment for. We found 12 tastings, pop-ups, and events across the city, all free, all open to the public. Founders pouring samples, new products hitting shelves, and a couple things we haven't seen before. Grab what looks good and let us know what you try.

Ghia Aperitivo Pop-Up Tasting
Pop-UpSaturday 12pm - 4pm · The Butcher's Daughter, Nolita
Ghia is taking over the bar at Butcher's Daughter for an afternoon of free pours. They are sampling their new Lime & Salt aperitivo alongside the original, and honestly this is one of the better non-alc options out there. Walk in, try both, no purchase necessary. The space is small so earlier is better.
Saturday March 28
Olipop Sampling Station
Demo10am - 2pm · Whole Foods, Bowery
Olipop reps will be set up near the front registers with their full lineup including the new Banana Cream flavor. Free cans while supplies last, no catch.
Deux Cookie Dough Pop-Up
Pop-Up11am - 3pm · Washington Square Park (north entrance)
Deux is handing out free samples of their cookie dough bites in the park. They just reformulated and want people to try the new version. Show up, grab a sample, keep walking.
Fishwife Tinned Seafood Tasting
Demo12pm - 4pm · Union Market, Park Slope
Fishwife is doing an in-store tasting of their smoked salmon and trout. Crackers provided, just walk up to the sample table. This brand has a cult following for a reason.
Brooklyn Flea Food Vendor Previews
Event11am - 5pm · Brooklyn Flea, DUMBO
Several new food vendors at the Flea are offering free bite-sized previews to get the word out. Not every booth, but look for the ones with sample trays near the Archway.
Graza Olive Oil Pour-Your-Own
Demo1pm - 4pm · Murray's Cheese, West Village
Graza is set up inside Murray's with bread and their squeeze bottles. Pour as much as you want on the samples. The drizzle oil is legitimately great and you can taste the difference side by side.
Brineborn Pickles In-Store Tasting
DemoSaturday 12pm - 4pm · Hudson Market, 601 W 57th St
Brineborn turned the humble pickle into something worth paying attention to. Four bold flavors, each one named after a character from their universe — Desert Prophet, Mother Vermillion, Everything Oracle, Sunburnt Saint. They are setting up at Hudson Market with samples of the full lineup. Small-batch, real ingredients, and the kind of branding you do not forget. If you like pickles even a little, go try these.
Sunday March 29
Liquid Death Mixed Flavors Sampling
Demo11am - 3pm · Union Square Greenmarket (south end)
Liquid Death has a table set up near the south end of the Greenmarket sampling their iced tea and flavored sparkling water. Free cans, stickers, the whole brand experience thing.
Blank Street Coffee New Menu Preview
Pop-Up8am - 12pm · Blank Street, Williamsburg (Bedford Ave)
The Bedford Ave Blank Street location is giving out free small cups of their new spring menu drinks before official launch. First come first served, they said they are prepping 200 samples.
Partake Brewing Non-Alc Beer Tasting
Demo12pm - 4pm · Whole Foods, Columbus Circle
Partake has a sampling table in the beer aisle with four of their non-alc beers on ice. Quick, easy, and you will be surprised how good the IPA is.
Pop-Up Pantry: Indie Snack Brands
Event11am - 4pm · Industry City, Sunset Park
A small collective of indie snack brands set up shop inside Industry City for the afternoon. Free samples across the board, think chips, jerky, granola, and a few things you probably haven't heard of yet. Worth the trip if you like discovering stuff early.
JuneShine Hard Kombucha Tasting
Demo1pm - 5pm · Trader Joe's, Wine Shop, Cobble Hill
JuneShine reps at the Cobble Hill Trader Joe's wine shop pouring their hard kombucha flavors. Free tasting, chill vibe, they usually bring the blood orange and hopical citrus.

April 4-5: Smorgasburg Season Opener, Williamsburg Waterfront. Free entry, 100+ vendors.
April 5: Acid League hot sauce sampling at Chelsea Market. Details TBD.
April 12: Spring Fancy Food Show preview events popping up across the city. We will have the full list next week.

Superiority Burger (East Village) just added Nguyen Coffee Supply's cold brew to their drink menu. Vietnamese robusta cold brew at a legendary vegetarian spot. Worth adding to your next visit.
